Many describe Alison Krauss' voice like an angel and it's easy to see why, her soft yet powerful sound is perfect for Rock, Country, Bluegrass and Folk, making her career a varied yet long standing one in the music industry. With her band, Union Station, she has released several albums and toured around the world, ever since her first debut with them in 1989.
To date, Alison has recorded and released an impressive fourteen albums and has been able to showcase her music on soundtracks for movies such as; O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Cold Mountain. Along with these wonderful appearances, she has collaborated many a time. All of this triumph has awarded her with 27 Grammy's and 42 nominations – a record for any artist, tying her with the legendary Quincy Jones!
