Andrew John Hozier-Byrne, famously known as Hozier, was raised in Ireland, where he found his love in music at the age of 15. Learning instruments like guitar and piano, Hozier started writing songs since then. Born as a musician, Hozier rose to the top in 2013 when he released his debut extended play titled Take Me to Church, which became a phenomenon in the US as it reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100. This single sealed the deal for Hozier as it received multi-platinum awards on different music platforms in the country and became a nominee for the 2015 Grammy Awards as Song of the Year. From that, Hozier released banger after banger until today, when he unleashes a nationwide tour to give back to fans for their unwavering support.
With the release of his newest album and the name of the tour Unreal Unearth, Hozier drove deep down the concept of inferno, inspired by the iconic novel Dante’s Inferno. Hozier wrote it during the pandemic and says that it is something of a retrospective in what the sound leans into. The album comprises 16 tracks that every fan will love.
“I'm just grateful that I have the support, and very excited that the younger generations are noticing me and also sort of arriving into this type of music in a way that has really encouraged me,” Hozier said on his jam-packed tour this fall.
Hozier will feature his iconic songs on this tour as well as his newest pieces in the album. He is known for these amazing tracks, including Take Me To Church, It Will Come Back, Arsonist’s Lullabye, Cherry Wine, Movement, and SomeNew.
