Cage the Elephant has been a fixture in the indie rock circuit since dropping their self-titled debut album in 2008. Fast forward to 16 years later, the band is set to deliver their highly anticipated sixth album, Neon Pill. The effort reportedly contains songs that hold significance in band singer Matt Shultz's personal life. Set for release in May, the album has spawned two lead singles, “Neon Pill,” which peaked at number 2 on the Adult Alternative Airplay and “Outloud.” Neon Pill follows a string of brilliant releases. In 2011, Cage the Elephant released their career-defining effort, Thank You Happy Birthday. The sophomore album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200, making it the band’s highest charting effort to date. In 2019, Cage the Elephant released Social Cues, their first album to make a breakthrough in the international charts.
