In 1977 an astronomer quickly scribbled a note upon recording a powerful 72-second radio signal from a star in the Sagittarius constellation, suggesting an extra-terrestrial origin. And with Muse not fitting into any label, box, or genre, and being known for exploring innovative inspirations, does it really come as a surprise that their explosive, sizzling new album The Wow! Signal, set to be released in June 2026, would be inspired by this? We’d say that that alone is pretty awesome, but if you have a listen to the much-anticipated album’s new single Be With You, it is clear that Muse is doing it again - they’re taking things to the next-level!
In support of what would be their tenth studio album, Muse is scheduled to rain absolute musical mastery, technical proficiency, precision, and pure skill upon the nation with their The Wow! Signal North American tour, kicking off in early July 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From there, the powerhouse rock-icons have stops in Tinley Park, Toronto, Holmdel, Columbia, Atlanta, Greenwood Village, Wheatland, and Mountain View, among others, on the itinerary, before wrapping up at the end of August 2026 in Los Angeles, California.
Anyone who knows a thing or two about Muse, will agree that they are different from anything you’ve ever heard. They don’t subscribe to a specific genre - they are a unique blend of cinematic energy, classical influences, space and progressive rock, alternative rock, futuristic elements, and operatic rock that reminds of Queen, and even a hint of synth-pop. Their musicianship is something to behold - from frontman Matt Bellamy’s classically-tinged piano and ripping riffs to bassist Chris Wolstenholme’s logic-defying basslines, from drummer Dominic Howard’s highly skilled drumming to Matt Bellamy’s powerhouse vocals and soaring falsetto. Every single track delivers a gut-punch, and is packed with perfectly executed skill, proficiency, musicality, and excellence - from Knights of Cydonia and Hysteria to Plug In Baby and Starlight, from Time Is Running Out and Map of the Problematique to Butterflies and Hurricanes and ‘Uprising’.
Muse will be joined at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre by American rock band Portugal. The Man, best known for hits such as Feel It Still and So Young, and Australian indie rock icons The Temper Trap, the band behind smashers such as Fader and Science of Fear.
